Welcome to“Turtle Treasures!”

Lots of my little turtles have found new digs lately, so please be patient while I get news ones posted to this site!  Thanks!

I love Presque Isle and the sandy shores and beautiful sunsets over Lake Erie! Finding something creative and unique to do with all the “treasure” I find walking the shore line has been so much fun.   I hope you will enjoy the wonderful “turtles” that I make from all my finds!

“Turtle Treasures” are  hand made with beach glass, pottery shards, shells, pebbles and rocks picked up bit by bit along the southern shores of Lake Erie by me, Bonnie J. Mohrbacher.  The “treasures” are not altered in any way, except for the clear coat of finish which seals the turtles and brings out the true colors.

Each turtle with their unique head, feet, tails and decorations has it’s own personality and no two are ever exactly alike.  I just can’t help giving them a name!

Whether you get some “Turtles” for your garden, somewhere in your home or as gifts for friends or loved ones, my hope is that my turtles themselves become very cherished “Treasures!”

Turtle Fact: Turtles need Vitamin D just like we do.  That is one of the reason they get out on a log to  “sun” themselves!
